Jacksons visit to Marshall a good one

Columbus (Ohio) Brookhaven offensive lineman Mark Jackson, who made an unofficial visit to Minnesota during the season and attended the Gophers game against Ohio State, made an official visit to Akron the weekend of Jan. 13 and an official visit to Marshall this past weekend.
"I probably liked Marshall a little better than Minnesota," Jackson said. "I liked the surroundings and the city. I liked the players too. It was a good visit."

While Jackson did not commit to the Herd, he may be through with his trips.
"I might go to West Virginia next weekend," Jackson said. "But I'm taking the SAT on Saturday so I don't know."
Jackson's teammate, tight end Jeff Cumberland, has visited Marshall, Illinois, and Minnesota.
"We've talked about going to the same school," Jackson said. "We'll see."
The 6-foot-6 and 300-pound Jackson is the No. 7 center prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 17 prospect in the state of Ohio.
