Jackson working on visit plans

Miami (Fla.) Central defensive end Dwight Jackson has around a half dozen offers that he knows of, but there may be more waiting for him on his coaches desk.
"I haven't really had a chance to talk to my coach about it since our most recent game, because I think some scouts were there to watch," Jackson said. "The most recent offers I know of is Mississippi State, that came in about two weeks ago. I also have Kentucky, UCF, Kansas State, FIU, New Mexico, and South Florida."

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound weakside defensive end, who could also play linebacker, said that four schools are in contact with him more often than any others.
"I am probably hearing from Kansas State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, and New Mexico the most," Jackson said.
As for narrowing his list and making a decision, that will come with taking visits.
"I am narrowing my choices down but I have to take my visits to really get things narrowed down," Jackson said. "I haven't take any visits yet. I have to get to that, taking my official visits. I will probably do that (in November)."
While no visits have yet been scheduled, the three-star defensive prospect has an idea of where he wants to travel to.
"I know one for sure is Kentucky, probably Mississippi State and Kansas State, and I will probably go to West Virginia with some of my teammates because they are recruiting me a bit down here as well," Jackson said.
Jackson, who earned a 23 on the ACT, said that at this point he doesn't really have a leader but he knows a bit more about one school than any of the others.
"I have a friend at Kentucky, but that is about it," Jackson said. "Since I haven't taken my visits yet, I really haven't sorted the schools out. Kentucky is really the only one that stands out."
His friend at Kentucky is freshman running back Brandon Gainer, a former teammate at Central.
