Jackson was super in Superdome

Edgard (La.) West Saint John running back Patrick Jackson had an incredible record for any game, but the fact that it was the state championship game made it all the more special. Throw in MVP honors, a 46-2 state championship victory and a couple of state records along the way and you have Jackson’s perfect day.
“It was a great experience,” Jackson said. “My offensive line really did a good job. They gave me some really good holes to run through and I hit them hard and made some things happen. We were just clicking on all cylinders as a team today and it showed.”

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Jackson has not been talked as much about as some other running backs in Louisiana, but look out this guy is going to be a hot item between now and February.
“Right now I have offers from Duke, Indiana, Michigan State and Tulane,” Jackson said. “I’m getting attention from some other schools to. I haven’t been thinking about recruiting all that much, but now that my season is over I am going to weigh out my options more and take my visits.”
Jackson carried the ball 26 times for 267 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 10.1 yards per carry in the 2A state title game. He also carries a 4.0 GPA and has a qualifying test score.
