Jackson visiting local powerhouse

We didn't see a better defensive lineman anywhere in the state this year than Van Nuys (Calif.) Birmingham's Malik Jackson. Along with his twin brother Marquis, the Jackson twins were unblockable coming off the edge and despite an early commitment to Fresno State, schools haven't backed off recruiting either of them.
Malik Jackson is a 6-5, 225 pound rush end with huge upside. He's extremely quick and explosive getting off the ball, has long arms and knows how to get up the field. He plays with an edge to him as well and is the kind of player you love to play with but hate to play against.

Jackson gave an early commitment to Fresno State but still has a handful of schools checking him out.
"I was going to visit Arizona State this coming weekend but I've changed it to USC," Jackson said. "They haven't offered me yet but they're coming in for a home visit later tonight and I should have a better idea of where I stand after this visit.
"USC has recruited me for awhile but their interest has picked up in recent weeks. I like them a lot and I'm looking forward to the visit but I'm still committed to Fresno State and I'm happy with that choice. I still may visit ASU the following weekend but I'm not sure. Marquis is going there this weekend so I'm going to talk to him after the visit and see how he likes it.
"Right now, I'm just enjoying my time off from football and letting my body get back in shape. I plan on running track and that will get going pretty soon here but since football is over, I've just been relaxing and enjoying the down time."
