Jackson to the SEC

Haynesville (La.) three-star linebacker Kendrick Jackson has grabbed scholarship offers from near and far over the course of the recruiting process, but as Signing Day approached he found himself eyeing a few college options.
He narrowed his list to Arizona, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech, and Louisiana-Lafayette, and on Tuesday at 2 p.m. he decided to let every one know his college decision.

The Razorbacks have been one of his favorites for a long time and for a number of reasons. One of the biggest was his relationship with the coaches.
"When they first offered me I wanted to be a Hog, but I had to get a few things together before I could commit," Jackson said. "They promised me when I got my scores up that I would have a spot, and coach Smith and coach B kept their promise to me. That showed me they are very loyal and trustworthy."
He took his final official visit to Arkansas, and the trip further cemented the Razorbacks as his school of choice.
"I went on my visit and it was an experience I've never had before," Jackson said. "It felt just like home. The fans and the coaching staff showed so much love towards me."
The Razorbacks also had another big card up their sleeves.
"And I also have a chance to play with Will Gragg and Jamario Bell, my childhood (AAU) teammates," Jackson said.
Jackson is the second linebacker to commit to Arkansas and only Louisiana representative in the 2015 class. He is ranked No. 44 in the Rivals.com Louisiana Final Top 50.
He recorded 118 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, six forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and two interceptions as a senior.
