Jackson sets two more visits

Long Beach Poly (Calif.) wide out Desean Jackson has set up two more official visits and will likely schedule just one more before he’s through with his trips.
Jackson, 5-11, 160 pounds and one of the nation’s top five receiver prospects set his first official visit to Cal for (Nov. 19) about a month or so ago. Jackson has also set trips to a pair of schools who shared a National Championship last year.

“I’m going to LSU (Nov. 12) and USC (Nov. 26),” Jackson said. “I’m going to set a visit with Oklahoma the next time they call me, probably for some time in December. I don’t have a 5th trip set up and may just take those four. I’m still looking at a few other schools like Tennessee and Miami but I might just take those four visits.
“I wasn’t going to visit USC officially because it’s so close but I think it will be good to compare it to the other schools on my list and give them a fair shot. If I’m visiting everywhere else officially and just visit there unofficially, of course the trip won’t be as impressive since they wouldn’t be able to do as much for me. I’m looking forward to the LSU visit a lot. They’re playing Alabama that weekend and I’ve heard the atmosphere at Tiger stadium is unlike any other.
“Oklahoma is a great school too and they have a nice balanced offense that can run and throw. I like the coaches over there a lot and the football program is as good at it gets. The trip to Cal will be the weekend they play Stanford so that should be a fun environment. Out of all the coaches recruiting me, I’m probably the closest to the guys at Cal. I’ve known Ken Delgado since before high school because he’s friends with my dad and I really like Coach Tedford a lot too.”
