Jackson picks up second offer

Defensive end Allen Jackson of Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh recently added a second offer after an unofficial visit to an ACC school, and has a number of other top programs knocking on his door. Jackson also has plans to hit the road this spring.
"Recruiting has been good," said Jackson, who is 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds. "I went up to Duke and things went very well. They offered. I plan to go up to Virginia in two weeks as well and I've still been hearing from a good amount of schools."

His Duke offer joins his previous offer from Maryland. Jackson gave a little more insight on his junior day experience in Durham and what stood out to him.
"For sure the academics and the setting of the school," said Jackson. "It had an amazing setting. The coach was also very excited about turning around the program and had a plan of action. It was an all-around good experience."
While Duke and Maryland have already offered, Jackson mentioned that Virginia, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin and Connecticut may be next in line. He also has a few trips in mind.
"I plan to visit a couple of schools in the spring and summer," said Jackson. "I'm thinking about Virginia, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and maybe some Florida schools."
Jackson was asked to name a few things he will be looking for in a school during his visits.
"Distance from home, how well I would fit into the program, academics and how early I would play," said Jackson.
During his junior season, Jackson finished with 87 tackles, nine sacks, one forced fumble and also blocked four punts.
