Jackson on Michigan: They stand high

Lamar Jackson took his official visit to Michigan this past weekend and he saw one of the craziest finishes in the history of college football.
His trip was much more than that, though, as the four-star got an opportunity to see a game in the Big House, got a chance to talk with the coaches and he definitely liked what he heard.

"It was dope," Jackson said. "I enjoyed it.
"It was the whole thing. There were a lot of good people, the game was crazy, I liked the coaches and everything was good.
"That (final play) was crazy. That was crazy to see 111,000 people go quiet. They were all celebrating and then that happened and everybody was shocked."
On Sunday, the Elk Grove (Calif.) Franklin four-star safety (who could also move to linebacker in college) had some extensive talks with the Michigan coaching staff.
Those were definitely a highlight of his weekend visit to get a better feel for what the Wolverines envision him doing.
"I talked to all of them, coach (D.J.) Durkin and coach (Greg) Jackson, we all got to sit down (Sunday) and they talked about my position, where I'm going to play," Jackson said.
"They took the loss pretty well, they got back after it and put the loss on their shoulders. Nobody is walking around with their heads down. That's something you'd never see in 100 years. They stand high. I liked my visit a lot."
Jackson has now taken visits to Arizona, Arizona State, Utah and Michigan. The four-star said he's not sure about his final visit destination.
USC and UCLA remain major contenders in his recruitment, too, and with the coaching turnover at USC in the last week, Jackson said he's going to keep an eye on everything moving forward and then determine where the Trojans stand later on.
"I talked to them soon after that happened and coach (Clay) Helton and coach (Keith) Heyward said they're going to win games," Jackson said. "(Steve Sarkisian) had his own personal issues to handle and they told me my offer is still 100 percent.
"If Heyward and those guys stay then they're still in the running."
