Jackson in no hurry

Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab standout Tre Jackson is not in a hurry right now.
He originally committed to Florida before his sophomore season in 2013, but decided to open up his options after the departure of Will Muschamp. Now, Jackson is taking his time and surveying his options.

"Right now I'm just slow playing it," Jackson said. "A lot of schools are going to be coming to school in the next couple of weeks. Oklahoma and Texas Tech are two of the big ones who are recruiting me hard and they say they'll be here in the next couple of weeks. I know West Virginia and North Carolina are coming down. And Notre Dame is supposed to be coming as well."
He may not have any leaders, but one program has caught his attention by how much interest they have been showing.
"Texas Tech is really coming on," Jackson said. "They're really standing out."
Most of Jackson's attention has come on the defensive side of the ball, but many are beginning to take an interest in him on offense as well.
"Well up until this year I was strictly defense but a lot of schools have said they'll take me on either side of the ball. I know Texas Tech and Oklahoma both like me on offense and defense," Jackson said. "I love it because I like playing offense and I love defense. I've been playing both since I was a kid, so it would be nice to play at the next level."
Jackson has not taken any visits during the spring, but he does have a few visits in mind for the summer.
"I'm pretty sure I'll be taking a trip to Auburn and Oklahoma this summer," Jackson said.
Jackson currently holds offers from Air Force, Florida, Houston, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Southern Miss, Tulane, West Virginia, Arkansas State, Army, Louisiana Tech, and [/tm]Louisiana-Lafayette[/tm]. He is currently ranked No. 36 among the nation's 2016 cornerbacks.
