Jackets still on top for Georgia OL

Dublin (Ga.) offensive guard prospect Nick McRae still is holding with one scholarship offer, from Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets still are the leaders in the race for his services.
"Georgia Tech still leads," McRae said. "I went up to their Junior Day last month. I liked the weight room. I also liked the coaches. They seemed to know everything about me already. Coach Giff Smith said he saw a couple of games of me last year and loved the way I played."

Smith, one of Rivals.com's Top 25 recruiters nationally for the Class of 2007, helped the Yellow Jackets sign their best recruiting class during the tenure of head coach Chan Gailey.
"I like (Smith)," McRae said. "He's a real nice guy."
The 6-foot-3, 285-pound McRae also has been to Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina and Vanderbilt this spring. He hopes to make unofficial visits to Alabama and Florida in the near future.
Despite the Jackets' lead, there is no decision imminent.
"I don't think I am going to make a decision any time soon," he said.
