Jackets out in front for Battle

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets continue to be a popular early choice among Palm Beach County, Fla., prospects for the Class of 2008. American Heritage High defensive back Dominique Battle says that Tech is his big early leader.
"Right now, I like Georgia Tech," he said. "I just like everything about them."

The 6-foot, 165-pounder also has his eye on some other programs.
"I also like Arizona State, Florida UConn and Buffalo," he said.
Battle currently does not have any written Division I-A scholarship offers.
There is one factor that is paramount to Battle when he goes to pick a school.
"Education is a big factor," he said. "I am really undecided on a major, but I am good in math, so I will probably do something along those lines."
Battle, who attended the Rivals.com Junior Day on Sunday at Oakland Park (Fla.) Northeast High near Fort Lauderdale, says that it's possible he will attend some camps this spring/summer.
"My coach is going to take me up to some camps, but I don't know which ones yet."
Battle had 50 tackles and three interceptions (including one for a touchdown) on defense and caught 19 passes for 363 yards and two touchdowns on offense his junior year.
