Jackets lead for Liddell

A.J. Liddell of Douglasville (Ga.) Chapel Hill wasn't one of the most well-known players at Saturday's Rivals/VTO Elite 100 camp in Marietta, Ga., but he certainly was among the most athletic.
In individual testing, the junior receiver ran the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds, one of the 15 best marks posted at the event and a time that is all the more impressive when one considers Liddell is 6-foot-3, 190 pounds. For good measure, he recorded a 34-inch vertical leap.

"I think I had a good day," Liddell said.
Right now, Liddell, has only one offer.
"Georgia Tech offered last December," Liddell said. "Some other schools are showing interest."
Those "other schools" include, Auburn, Duke, Ohio State, Tennessee and West Virginia, he said. At this point, however, the interest from the Buckeyes apparently is minimal.
According to Liddell, he will visit Auburn and Georgia Tech soon, and also hopes to make his way to West Virginia at some point in the relatively near future. He attended a Yellow Jackets game last season.
"Georgia Tech leads," Liddell said. "I like them a lot, and I like the education there."
That said, Liddell claims he won't be committing to anyone any time soon. He'd like to see what else comes his way before making any decision.
"I'm really not in a hurry," Liddell said.
