Izzo looking to trim his list

Tight end Ryan Izzo of Sparta (N.J.) Pope John continues to reel in the offers as we make our way through the month of May. Approaching 15 offers, Izzo has also begun to think about trimming his list in the coming weeks.
"Everything has been going well," said Izzo. "I'm up to 13 offers now. It's cooled down a little bit lately, but so far it's been great."

Boston College became Izzo's most recent offer on Thursday, while Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Indiana and Michigan State all came within the last week or two. He also believes that North Carolina, Illinois and Maryland are the schools who may be the next to offer.
With plenty of options on his plate, upcoming visits are being scheduled.
"I haven't fully solidified them, but I know I'm visiting Iowa, Northern Illinois, and possibly Illinois and Michigan State, in June so far," said Izzo. "All of these will be for visits, besides Michigan State which will be for a camp."
Izzo has a few goals in mind for the Michigan State camp.
"Of course to impress the coaches who are watching and show off all of my hard work, but also just to get better and learn some new stuff from whoever is coaching me," he said.
And with more and more offers coming his way, Izzo is now thinking about trimming his list to make everything more manageable.
"I'm cutting it down to a top five soon and hopefully if I'm confident I'll make a decision before my senior year," he said. "I'll have a top five in the next couple of weeks."
