Ivey schedules an official visit

Mebane (N.C.) Eastern Alamance athlete Lamar Ivey has scheduled one official visit to date. Where and when is the 6-foot-1, 182-pounder planning to go?
"Actually, I'm going to Kentucky for an official on December 4th through the 6th," he said. "That's the only school I've scheduled a visit with so far.

"I haven't set up ones for East Carolina or West Virginia."
What made Ivey want to check out the Wildcats further?
"I decided it's out-of-state and I want to see more about what the campus is like and how far it actually is from my home. I want to get a feel for the people and coaches."
The three-star prospect maintains no favorites at this time.
"I have the same four offers and I'm keeping my options open to see what all comes in," he stated. "I do know Oregon's coaches have been showing a lot of interest lately as are some other schools. They're all just sending letters."
Ivey is playing quarterback this season and has helped his team to a 5-1 record.
"We were undefeated until last week, we lost by one to Northern Guilford and Keenan Allen," he said. "I think the last three games for me have been my best games so far. I'm improving at quarterback over the course of the season. I'm getting better passing yards and rushing more. I've gotten more touchdowns too."
