Its the final four for R.J. Jackson

Donning an LSU sweatshirt, Houston Westside athlete R.J. Jackson talked recruiting with coaches and teammates during the Wolves' athletic period earlier today. Jackson is one of the last Houston blue chips to fall and it seems to be coming down to four.
"I like LSU, Texas, Oklahoma State and Florida in no particular order," he said. "I'll probably commit before signing day."

Rumor has it that he may commit at the U.S. Army game in San Antonio next weekend.
"I'm looking at the school that best knows how to use a person like me," he said. "I'm versatile – a Reggie Bush type player. That's what I did at Westside. The school I go to will find a way to get the ball in my hands."
Jackson was the Wolves' go-to running back, receiver and shutdown defensive corner. The all-Greater Houston athlete is not a bad poker player either, keeping cards close to the vest and praising all of his current favorites.
"I like Florida and Urban Meyer really uses the running back as a receiver. I'd like to be a part of that," he said. "He seems to be a player's coach."
Jackson was also impressed with his official visit to LSU in December.
"I love Baton Rouge," he said. "It fits my personality. It's laid back. It's got something if you want to go and party or just hang out. I'm not much of a partier, so I can just hand at the dorm and play PlayStation.
"The coaching change has not effected my decision about LSU. Coach (Les) Miles is very dedicated to the run and I like that."
Redshirt freshman quarterback Bobby Reid and teammate T. J. Minor are main reasons for Jackson's interest in Oklahoma State.
"OSU has tremendous potential and have young players that I can relate to," he said. "I know them and have seen them play. I really think they were a couple of touchdowns from winning a national championship this year."
With Port Arthur Memorial's Jamaal Charles already in the fold at Texas, it would seem like it would be a tough sell for Jackson to sign with the Longhorns. He thinks differently.
"I don't care what running backs have committed were," he said. "Recruits want to play with other good recruits. The guys they have now don't really do what I do."
