Its official Marshall to UNLV

The rumor that surfaced earlier in the week had teeth to it, it is official. Four star JUCO all-purpose running back Alvin Marshall (5-10, 185, 4.4) from Compton Junior College had committed and signed a Rebel LOI after visiting the UNLV campus December 20th.
It was first reported in the Las Vegas Sun by the respected Steve Guiremand that Marshall would send in his signed LOI to UNLV and Marshall did.

“I sent it (letter of-intent) in and I’m happy with my decision,” Marshall said. “I like coach (John) Robinson and feel he will be able to help me take my game to another level.”
“There are a lot schools that are upset,” Marshall said. “But I went with the school where I feel I would fit in best.”
The Rebels land a dynamite player who could have pretty much named his ticket.
Marshall signed a letter-of-intent with Nebraska out of high school when he was a standout athlete at Los Angeles (Calif.) Locke two years ago. He helped Compton to a 7-3 record and to their first bowl appearance for over 40 years.
If Marshall indeed does sign an UNLV LOI then Rebel head coach John Robinson gets and early Christmas present.
Marshall is a super player with skills that could see him play on Sunday’s one day. What makes Marshall such a valuable commodity is his versatility. He has lined up at every skill position including quarterback for Compton JC.
Marshall had over 2,200 all-purpose yards as a sophomore. He has rushed for over 1,000 yards as a running back and has over 1,000 more yards catching, returning and passing the football.
Marshall had offers on the table from Fresno State, UNLV, USC, Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Kansas and Nebraska.
With the signing of Marshall, John Robinson and his staff have pulled off one heck of a recruiting coup.
Marshall is one of the best prospects on the JUCO level this season.
Marshall will graduate in December, and he will be on the UNLV campus January 15th and he will be able to participate in spring ball.
Marshall has 3x2 eligibility.
