Its not easy being Jorrie
When you’re one of the elite prospects in the nation, you’re bound to have college coaches and recruiting reporters calling you almost every single night.

But with Jasper, Texas, offensive tackle Jorrie Adams, he’s been missing in action for almost two months now. But he was finally caught and talked about the pressure of being in the position that he is in.
“It’s not easy,” he said. “It’s always ‘what you doing Jorrie’ or ‘have you picked a school yet.’ I’ve been told that this is supposed to be a lot of fun, but there is a lot of pressure on me. Some times, it’s too stressful.”
Which is one reason why he’s been avoiding talking to reporters and even college coaches for the past few months.
“I’m trying to have fun with my season and stay focused on winning state,” Adams, the nation’s No. 2 offensive tackle, said. “We were so close last year. I want to win it all this year.”
And which is why Adams continues to say that he’s still wide open and will look at about any team that is interested in him. That might also explain why he still has coaches from all over still contacting him.
“It’s crazy,” he said. “Everybody is calling, calling, calling. I mean they call from all over – California, Florida and everybody here in Texas calls, too. It’s crazy.”
Adams, who said he would take the SAT for the first time this upcoming attempt, said he doesn’t have a favorite at this point and isn’t even thinking about official visits.
Even though he said he is still “wide open” a few schools do “kind of” standout because of the amount of calls they make and the level of national stature they are. Those schools are teams like Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, Texas A&M, UCLA, Florida and Miami (order mentioned).
“They’re all good schools,” he said. “They all want me to come play left tackle for them, and that’s all that matters to me at this point.”
