Its all done except the paper

When Rivals.com first introduced you to running back David Freeman (5-9, 185, 4.4) from Inglewood, Calif., earlier in the month of June we predicted that he would soon receive his first offer. Now that word is coming to pass and more.
"Washington called (Inglewood high school) Coach (Charles) Mincy and told us that the Huskies are sending an offer," David Freeman, Sr., David Freeman Jr., dad said. "When we get that offer we will call them and have something to talk about.

"If everything looks good that's where he'll be."
During the evaluation period the Huskies were close to offering and then Washington head coach Tyrone Willingham was busy on the guest speaker circuit.

At that time the Huskies told Freeman "that if you like us, as much as we like you, it will be a great marriage"
Hold the rice and honeymoon until Freeman gets his ring.
"We can't commit until we get something in writing," Freeman Sr., said. "Once we get that offer, we want to be Huskies.
Freeman mainly plays running back for Inglewood, but when the situation calls for it they will play him at corner.
Mincy doesn't like to because Freeman is really aggressive and loves contact. Inglewood can't afford to get him hurt that is why his plays on defense are limited.
As a junior, Freeman rushed for just under 1,600 yards and scored 21 rushing touchdowns. He's a good receiver who hauled in 10 receptions even though the quarterback had trouble getting him the ball.
In an earlier interview with Rivals.com, Coach Mincy had the following to say about his star running back.
"David is physically strong and fast," Mincy said. "He can finish runs by making contact or by using his speed running away from defenders.
"David is a stubborn kid who refuses to go down," Mincy said. "Though he's a smaller back, we have no problem running him on short yardage situations. He's a very strong runner between the tackles.
"David is an extremely smart football player," Mincy said. "He picks things up quickly. We don't have to worry about David picking up things like pass blocking schemes.
"Like I said, David is a very aggressive player who will for us," Mincy said. "He's a real physical player on both sides of the football."
Freeman is also a standout in track and participates in the 100 and the 200. His best time in the 100 is about 10.8.
It appears the Huskies have landed a good one once the written offer comes in.
