Its all Badgers for Hoey

Shoreview (Minn.) Mounds View lineman Brandon Hoey committed to Wisconsin three games into his senior season.
Hoey, with any recruiting pressure off, went out and had a very good senior season playing mostly defensive end, but a little defensive tackle too.

"I moved inside to tackle some when they needed me there," Hoey said. "And I also played about half the time on offense.
The 6-foot-5 and now 280-pound Hoey made 96 tackles including 22 behind the line of scrimmage. Hoey had six sacks as Mounds View won seven of 12 games.
The Badgers stayed in touch with Hoey throughout his football season.
"Coach Murphy calls me," Hoey said. "I think my official visit will be Dec. 3. That's what we are talking about.
"I'll be a defensive lineman at Wisconsin, but I'm not sure if it will be interior or outside."
For the most part the recruiting ended for Hoey when he committed to the Badgers.
"Iowa State is still recruiting me," he said. "But I've committed to Wisconsin, so as of now it's all Wisconsin."
Hoey is the No. 5 prospect in the state of Minnesota in the Rivals.com player rankings.
