Wayne Times is a wide receiver prospect from Miami (Fla.) Northwestern High School. Times, 5-10 and 175 pounds, had two scores on Saturday night in the state championship game loss to Sanford (Fla.) Seminole High School 28-21. He scored once on the ground and one brilliant catch and run in the first half.
"I can make people miss," Times said. "In open space I can make something happen. I can make something happen after the catch. I have pretty consistent hands. I focus on that catch and then run. You have to catch it first."
Last night Times received some big news after the game when he received his first scholarship offer.
"Florida International offered me. It's home and they are building up a program. I like those coaches and I have a good bond with them.
"I also have heard from New Mexico, Oregon State, West Virginia and Bethune-Cookman. Right now I am wide open. I want to take some visits, talk with my family and make my decision around Signing Day."
