Isaacs earns BC, UConn offers

Class of 2013 tight end Andrew Isaacs is one of the most impressive prospects from Connecticut in quite some time.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound prospect figures to rank near the top of the state's charts next year when those lists come out.

This summer Isaacs attended a NIKE camp at Rutgers, camps at UConn and Boston COllege, and then he visited Maryland unofficially for a campus tour.
"Rutgers was nice. I liked that," Isaacs said. "The campus was real fun. There was a lot of competition up there so that was good. That was my first time going that far away and it was good to see players from other states.
"UConn's camp was good, too. I feel like I did real good there. They offered me a scholarship after the camp.
"Boston College offered me, too. Boston College actually offered me first. That was fun. We stayed in their dorms all week because it was a week-long thing. It was real fun over there.
"Maryland, actually my coach is originally from there so we drove down there and just wen up for a visit. I liked that, too."
Did one trip stick out the most?
"I don't really know," he said. "I liked UConn a lot but we go up there for practices so they didn't really show me anything new. Boston College was nice and so was Maryland. I really haven't seen enough to say one is better than the others."
This week Isaacs is planning to attend a practice at UConn. He will be at BC the following week for a practice.
His coach has told him that he wants to take him to the BC-Florida State game this fall.
