Is Whitmore still committed to the Terps

Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar F. Smith defensive end Brian Whitmore committed to Maryland in December. The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder recently announced he would be taking more visits. Whitmore took the first of three last week when he went down to Raleigh and North Carolina, how did the defensive end like it?
"He really enjoyed himself and had a real nice time," said his father, Alphonso Whitmore. "He enjoyed being around a nice bunch of guys and he especially liked hanging out with Darrius Massenburg from Hargrave. He and Brian really got along. He also really enjoyed his time with coach Bunting."

Rumor has surfaced recently that Whitmore may have fully decommitted from the Terps after a great trip to UNC.
"He is still committed to Maryland and they are his top choice," he said. "He still has two more visits to South Carolina on Friday and then Virginia Tech next weekend. Then on Sunday evening after his trip to Tech he'll come back and make a decision."
The three-star prospect is still getting a lot of visits from coaches.
"David Reaves from South Carolina stopped by yesterday, Bob Price from UVA was here today," he said. "We're expecting visits from Steve Spurrier and John Bunting next week too. Right now I'm the only one enjoying this recruiting process. Brian and his mom are both sick of it."
