Is Wedderburn preparing for a decision

Three-star tight end Mark Wedderburn is considering an early decision. Before he does that though, the 6-foot-6, 235-pounder out of Springfield (Pa.) Cardinal O'Hara is looking to take in nearly a half dozen visits.
"Recently I've just been working out and getting ready to take a couple trips," he stated. "I went to Penn State a few weeks ago and that went well. I mostly did drills and stuff there. I got to talk to coach McQueary for a little while and he was mostly just telling me how they'd use me if I went to Penn State.

"The visit didn't really stick out too much since I've been there a lot before because of my brother. It did bring back memories when I was a kid. The coaches were really nice to me, but I know they won't be nice to me once I get there."
While it's obvious Wedderburn is still favoring the Nittany Lions, he's not closing the door on other schools.
"I'm looking to visit Tennessee, Louisville, Rutgers, Michigan and Florida this month and in August," he said. "The only visit I know for sure is to Florida on July 20th for the Friday Night Lights showcase.
"On these visits, I'm just hoping to see if any of the schools can compare to Penn State and if they offer something better."
All of the upcoming visits have offered with the exception of Florida.
"They have just been talking to me and my parents," he said. "I think they are close to offering, but they want to see me down there. I wouldn't necessarily say they would move up to the top of my list, but I'll definitely consider them if they offer. They did win a championship, so they obviously know what they're doing down there."
The No. 14 prospect in the Keystone State claims he is leaning towards a decision after all five unofficials.
"It's still up in the air, but I probably will decide," he said. "I'm favoring Penn State right now, but I would say Louisville, Michigan and Rutgers are in there too.
"Michigan allows me to stay in the Big East. Rutgers is close to home and the coaches there are great. Louisville passes the ball a whole lot and I like them."
If a decision comes, Wedderburn will likely do it around or soon after August 15th when fall practice starts.
