Vorhees (N.J.) Eastern Regional offensive tackle Phil Trautwein started having second thoughts about his verbal commitment to Florida last week. After meeting with all three of his top schools this week, is Trautwein still wavering?
"No, I am a solid commitment to Florida. I talked to Michigan State, Virginia, and Florida this week and I am sure that Florida is the place for me," said the 6-foot-7, 310-pound tackle who runs the 40-yard dash in 5.2 seconds.
Trautwein said that he started questioning his decision as soon as he made it.
"I kept thinking about what Virginia and Michigan State had to offer. I really questioned my decision, but Florida has always been my dream school and I am exciting about going to Gainesville.
"I love the SEC and the Gators are on the verge of contending for another National Championship. Florida brings in a top recruiting class year after year and I can't wait to be a part of the winning tradition in The Swamp."
