Three-star defensive end Marquez Herrod (6-3, 220, 4.65) from Escondido (Calif.) San Pascual has ten offers on the table and has already taken two trips. He has one more visit scheduled.
Herrod has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Utah, Utah State, Fresno State, UTEP and Nevada.
On the season, Herrod has led San Pascual to a 7-2 record after racking up 28 tackles, eight tackles for loss, five sacks, five quarterback hurries, two blocked kicks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
"I have visited Fresno State and Utah," Herrod said. "Utah was real nice and I had a good time there. I like the coaches and there is a lot of chemistry there."
"I also like Fresno State," Herrod said. "They are in California and their coaches really care about their players and that means a lot to me."
The next scheduled visit for Herrod is to Oregon State this coming weekend on November 11th.
"I don't know much about Oregon State because I've never been there before and I don't have any background on the school," Herrod said. "I've heard a lot of good things about it and want to see it for myself."
"I've only talked to Oregon State on the phone but they came out to see my game," Herrod said. "Oregon State's recruiter Coach Lee Hull seems like a cool guy."
"I could make up my mind after I take my Oregon State trip," Herrod said. "It depends if I want to see other schools or not."
