Is Thenarse down to three

With his season behind him, it's now time for Los Angeles (Calif.) Jordan athlete Ricky Thenarse to turn his focus more to recruiting. With four home visits now behind him in the last two days, the athlete said he's mainly focusing on three schools at this point.
Thenarse, 6-1, 175 pounds finished off an incredible senior season that saw him dominate on both sides of the ball. At running back, the athlete rushed for 1,344 yards and 10 touchdowns, caught 19 balls for 628 yards and five scores and added 153 tackles on defense.

On the recruiting front, Thenarse hosted Nebraska and Oregon on Monday and Cal and Idaho Tuesday night. He took an official visit to Nebraska back in September and is close to setting trips with Oregon and Cal.
"Those three are the main ones I'm looking at," Thenarse said. "I think Oregon is going to be this weekend (Dec. 2). We talked about taking a visit this weekend while they were over for the home visit and they're supposed to call me on Wednesday to solidify everything. Cal wants me to visit in January, I think that first weekend but we haven't set that one yet.
"There are still a couple of other schools out there that are recruiting me but those three are the ones I like and I don't think I'll take trips to any other school. Right now, I'm just working hard to keep my grades up and trying to stay in shape for the CaliFlorida Bowl. I'll be ready to make my decision sometime in the middle of January."
