Gilmer, Texas wide receiver Manuel Johnson has four schools he is watching the most, but one still stands out the most.
“I still have the four schools I am keeping a close eye on,” the 5-foot-11, 185-pound Johnson said. “Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Texas Tech are the four.”
Despite the three others still being considered, the Sooners are still at the top of the list.
“I still would say Oklahoma is at the top,” he said. “I like everything there. I felt like it was the best place for me when I was up there. They made me feel at home and showed me around and I got to see everything I wanted to get a look at.”
Johnson stated earlier he was close to making his commitment final and ending the recruiting process.
“I don’t really have a date picked out or anything,” he said. “I guess I’ll see how it goes and when I think it is time to do it, I will.”
During his 2003 season, Johnson hauled in 79 passes for 1,168 yards and 13 touchdowns.
