Texas A&M commit Andy Matakis received the red carpet treatment during his official visit to College Station this weekend. Andy, accompanied by his parents, was the only recruit hosted this weekend. They thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
"It was a good trip," said Matakis. "I got to tour the campus and meet with the academic advisors. We also ate a lot of good food."
The 6-foot-3, 220 linebacker from Flour Bluff High School in Corpus Christi, Texas got to meet with all of the coaches.
"My parents and I had breakfast with R.C. Slocum today and yesterday," Matakis said. "It was great."
When asked if his commitment to the Aggies was firm and final Matakis said, "Yes Sir."
Will he be taking any more visits? "No, Sir," Matakis said.
Next weekend is scheduled to be a big one for Texas A&M's recruiting efforts as over 20 prospects are scheduled to visit.
