Is juco RB ready to pop

His name is Johnnie Mack of City College of San Francisco and he’s about to join one of the hottest programs in the Big 12.
“Texas Tech is my top team,” the three-star all-purpose back said. “I’m going up there this weekend for a visit. I’m leaning pretty hard toward them. I’ll probably go ahead and commit and sign with them on Dec. 19.”

Mack, who is 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds, is one of the better backs in the junior college ranks, but he’s not the biggest back and would excel in third down situations and in wide open spread offenses.
Offenses like Texas Tech’s.
“I think I’d be a great fit in the offense,” Mack said. “That’s what the coaches think too. It’d be a good opportunity for me. I need to see the rest of package at Tech before I do anything, though.”
Mack, who has three seasons to play two years, said he’s still also looking at USC (Oct. 12 visit) and West Virginia.
“West Virginia wants me to not sign in December and hold off until I can visit them in January,” he said. “I don’t know if I like that idea or not. I’d like to get this over with.”
