Is it a done deal or ever so close
LC Kirkpatrick said, "I'm going to commit to them on tomorrow and sign with them on signing day on a full-ride scholarship that they offered on my visit." LC Kirkpatrick was talking about New Mexico, the team that he just returned from a visit to.
"I have to talk to my defensive line coach tomorrow to explain to him what I decided."

"New Mexico wanted me to commit on my visit, but I told them that I had to talk it over with my parents. We just did that and decided New Mexico was the best place for me."
New Mexico: "The defense is one of the top defenses in the country and it was eye catching that they blitz a lot. The coaches are nice and they will play you where you can play and not where you are needed."
The only other visit that he made was to Iowa on Dec. 14.
"I set up visits to Houston for January 18, Baylor for January 25 and Grambling February 1, but I don't plan on taking them, unless for some reason I have to take them." He wanted to get his coach's opinion first.
"I don't plan on taking those other visits."
He was first team all-district and he was a Texas State Player of the Year finalist. He was defensive player of the year for Aldine High School in Houston. He made the Houston Chronicle Area Top 10 Players list.
