Is Hicks Still Solid With The Cougars

Washington State picked up a very solid player in Fresno (Calif.) Edison defensive back Bernard Hicks back in October. Despite his commitment, Hicks said he could still take other visits and was planning to trip to Cal this up coming weekend.
"I decided to cancel it along with the rest of my trips," Hicks said. "I was actually going to visit Cal but I have to take the SAT this Saturday. That kind of got me thinking that I should just go ahead and forget about taking any other visits.

"I'm very excited to be going to Washington State. It's a great school and I'm 100% committed to them and I'm not looking around at any other programs. I had a great time on my visit and think I'll fit in very well with the football program. They like me as both a safety and a corner but I would like to come in as a corner, it's where I'm most comfortable."
Hicks said he was also looking at Oregon State, Cal, Boise State and Fresno State. At the NorCal Nike Camp, the defensive back clocked a 4.56 in the 40, 4.06 in the shuttle, jumped 31 inches in the vertical and did 17 reps on the bench. He also shined in the one on one drills and could play early for the Cougs.
