Is four-star committed to Michigan State

Four-star defensive end/tight end Justin Tomerlin (6-6, 265, 4.64). Tomerlin from El Dorado (Kan.) Butler CC, has committed to Michigan State, but there is one school that has an outside chance to get back into the hunt for the services of talented two-way standout. Tomerlin was a huge prospect out of San Clemente, Calif., and participated in the first US Army All-American Bowl in 2001.
"I canceled my visits to Florida State, Georgia and Miami," Tomerlin said. "I committed to Michigan State but the only team that may have a chance is UCLA. I didn't cancel my visit to UCLA and still plan to take it."

"My trip to Michigan State was incredible," Tomerlin said. "They pretty much have all my criteria."
"I love Michigan State's offensive and defensive schemes," Tomerlin said. "I also like the availability for early playing time at Michigan State."
Tomerlin's value is increased because he has four years to play three.
An outstanding all around athlete, Tomerlin played defensive end where he led the tough Jayhawk Conference in sacks with 16 ½. He also caused five fumbles and recovered four.
It seemed like Tomerlin spent a lot of time in the oppositions backfield besides his conference leading sack total, he led his team in tackles for loss and was third on the team in total tackles.
With the US Army All-American Bowl right around the corner it is fitting to remind everybody that Tomerlin played in the inaugural game four years ago.
USC All-American Shaun Cody backed him up during that game. As a matter of fact there are several players from that game that are either in the league or are heading there this spring.
