Is Elliot the nations hottest recruit

Tulsa (Okla.) TSST three-star athlete Prentice Elliot is the hottest target in the Midlands Region and he honestly might be the hottest target in the nation.
After rushing for 2,506 yards and 32 touchdowns as a senior, he went from having just marginal interest because of academics to now having four visits set and scholarships from all over the nation.

“It’s been a wild ride,” Elliot, who is a silky smooth 6-foot-4 and 185 pounds, said. “At first, I didn’t know how I was going to handle all of this attention, but I’ve been working hard with my family to keep things in perspective.
“I’m so much more focused on what’s important. I’m working hard at my grades. I’ve taken the ACT already. I think I passed it, and if I didn’t I’m going to work hard and make sure that I do.”
Elliot is talented enough that if he doesn’t qualify then most teams are more than willing to place him, but the star doesn’t want it to come to that. He feels there is enough time to make sure that he can play right away in college.
“I’m going to do what it takes,” he said.
Elliot will take his first of four set up official visits this weekend. He heads to Stillwater to visit Oklahoma State. He’s had an in-home visit already from OSU assistant coach Todd Monken earlier this week.
“He told me I was going to have a great time at OSU this weekend,” Elliot said. “I’m just going to meet some of the players and see what it’s like there at the school. Coach Monken told me it’s a great University, and I hope to see if that’s true.”
Up after that visit is Oklahoma on December 12. The Sooners haven’t been to see Elliot yet at his house because OU is preparing for the Big 12 Championship.
“Coach Shipp said he’ll be here on Sunday after they get back from Kansas City,” Elliot said. “I think Oklahoma is going to win that game pretty big. It’s not going to be close. Oklahoma is that good, and I like that a lot.
“I went down there for the Oklahoma State game, so I know what it’s like to be at one of their games. It’ll be fun to visit the players and see some of the other stuff at the school.”
Colorado is third on the visit list. He’ll be in Boulder on December 19.
“Coach (Chris) Wilson was here to visit me at school yesterday,” Elliot said. “He’s a nice guy. I think I’m going to like it out there on my visit.”
Tennessee is set up to get a visit on January 19. Coach Steve Caldwell visited with Elliot earlier today.
“He’s a good guy,” Elliot said. “I’m friends with Robert Meachem and we played AAU basketball together, and I know that he really likes it out there. It should be a fun visit.”
Kansas, TCU and Kansas State are likely candidates to battle it out for the fifth and final visit. Jayhawk defensive coordinator Bill Young is set to visit with Elliot on Thursday.
