Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin defensive tackle Chris Anderson came into the weekend leaning slightly toward Florida State. Did a visit to Miami change that?
"It's best to say that I'm open now," Anderson, who is 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds. "I really like the city of Miami, and the school is great."
What does Anderson like about the school?
"I like that it's small and you don't get overlooked there," he said. "I like the small campus and it's easy to get around."
After already visiting Florida State, USC and now Miami, Anderson is set to visit South Carolina on Jan. 11 and Michigan State on Jan. 18.
"I'm ready for the dead period," he said. "I need some time away from recruiting. We're going over to the Florida-Georgia game. I'm going to put a show on."
