Is Dillard a Husker lock

Jenks, Okla. linebacker Phillip Dillard continues to favor two Big 12 Conference schools.
“Nothing really is new,” the 6-foot-2, 242-pound Dillard said. “I’m still with 12 offers and that is about it. Nothing else is really happening. I would still list Oklahoma and Nebraska at the top.”

Dillard had been quoted recently as saying that Nebraska is his clear cut top team, but he said that isn't exactly true and the more he thinks about it the more he's going to evaluate his options.
But there is little doubt that NU and OU are going to be factors. What is it about the two Big 12 schools that has Dillard’s attention?
“Nebraska, they’ve been with me since the beginning," Dillard said. "(Nebraska assistant) coach (John) Blake came down and watched my practices. They have been sending me a lot of hand written letters.
"And, I went to Oklahoma for a visit. I was impressed with a lot of the facilities and the players. Everything there was good. I really like coach Venables a lot. He'd be a great to learn from.”
One other school could jump into the mix at the top of the list.
“Most of the schools recruiting me have offered, except for Florida. If they would offer, they’d be right up there in the top three. Then it would be a three-team race at the top of this.”
Dillard would like to get into his senior season before he makes a choice.
“I would like to make a decision around the middle of the season. If it doesn’t happen then, I’ll do it shortly after we’re done. But, I think it would be a nice relief to get it out of the way. I want to take some of my visits and see how I fit in at the different schools.”
