Is Dervin Davis an Aggie

Did he commit or didn’t he? That’s the question every Texas A&M fan wants to know. Did Dervin Davis, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker from Lutcher, La. pledge to the Aggies?
“It’s Texas A&M,” Davis said in an interview late tonight. “I like the competition in the Big 12 and Texas A&M was the place that offered me that opportunity.”

Davis said he is now scheduled to make his official visit to Texas A&M on Jan. 18. He had also scheduled a visit to San Diego State for Jan. 11, but will now cancel that visit.
He was recruited to A&M by Aggie assistant Shawn Slocum.
Davis, a two-year starter, says he sees a little bit of himself in the Aggies’ Wrecking Crew defense.
“I just play hard. I like the game and I play it hard all the time, every down. That’s the way I do things and that’s the way coach Slocum says they do it, too.”
Davis maintains a 2.5 GPA and took his ACT for the first time last week.
