There is a very athletic guy from Colorado who is looking two Pac-10 schools. This player is extremely competitive and has great size and speed. This player has several offers on the table and could have several more before the spring is over.
The player in question is Greg Banks (6-5, 260, 4.7) from Denver (Colo.) Montebello.
Banks was a second-team all-city and all-league selection as a junior after accounting for over 50 tackles and three sacks.
Montebello high school has been a very popular destination for D-I recruiters this spring and Banks has been the main attraction.
Banks claims offers from Oklahoma, Colorado, Iowa State, Arizona, Arizona State, and Syracuse.
Offers could be forthcoming from Notre Dame, Michigan, USC and Washington.
"My top six schools at this time are Oklahoma, Colorado, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC and UCLA," Banks said. "Oklahoma and Colorado are my two leaders."
"I could make an early decision because I might graduate early," Banks said. "I will probably visit UCLA, USC, Oklahoma, Michigan and Notre Dame. I will visit Colorado and Colorado State unofficially."
The scouting report on Banks is he's a hard worker who never gives up on a play. Twice last season Banks chased down running backs 40 yards down the field to prevent touchdowns. This is a young man who doesn't know the word quit.
Banks also has a long wingspan and a lanky frame which would indicate that he will be able to add weight without losing quickness.
