Is Atkins committed or not

MIAMI-It's been hard to get a read on Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland defensive back Avery Atkins lately. There have been rumors that he has officially de-committed from Florida, then there were rumors that he was still committed, but looking around. So what is the latest on the Rivals 100 defensive back?
"I wouldn't say that I'm de-committed exactly," Atkins said. "I am just looking at some other schools right now that I am interested in. At first I was kind of sketchy about committing to Florida, but after a while I decided that it was the best decision and I just started liking it more and more. As of right now I have opened things back up and I just want to take my time and make the right decision."

The 5-foot-11, 182-pound Atkins runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds and the shuttle in 3.9 seconds. He has a 265-pound bench press, a 525-pound squat and a 33-inch vertical jump.
"I realized that it is more about the players that make the team and the situation at any school," Atkins said. "I have had a chance to talk to coach Meyer and I like him a good bit. You can tell that he is really experienced. I just want to make some sort of decision quick, but I want to make sure that I make the right decision."
Atkins is ranked as the nation's No. 67 player overall, the nation's No. 4 cornerback and the No. 6 player in the Sunshine State. He has already taken an official visit to Miami and will visit Florida State on January 7 and Florida on January 21.
