Irizarry makes Big Ten commitment

"He committed to Ohio State," tight end Louis Irizarry's mother Evellyn said. "We're very excited."
"He really likes Ohio State. He visited Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan State, Michigan, everyone was so nice."
"And Notre Dame is Notre Dame."
"But he really had his heart set on Ohio State."
"He loves coach Tressel. He's a wonderful coach. So he went ahead and committed."
Irizarry, a 6-foot-5 and 235 pounder from Youngstown (Ohio) Ursuline, has a 3.9 GPA.
Irizarry has been a varsity starter since his freshman season. During his junior season he caught 31 passes and averaged 18 yards a catch.
