Irish, Vols among visits for LB/S

Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Bay Tech linebacker/safety Maurice Crum was scheduled to take an official visit to Notre Dame this past weekend, but has postponed that trip to January.
“I’ve got it set up for Jan. 16 now,” he said. “I’ve got Georgia Tech on the 9th, Notre Dame on the 16th and Tennessee on the 23rd. I’ve already taken my first trip. That was to Michigan State back in October.”

Crum (6-1, 215, 4.6) said he has an offer from Notre Dame and one from Georgia Tech pending his SAT score. He currently has an 850, and needs to reach 900 to make that one official. He says the Spartans and Volunteers have indicated an offer is coming.
“Tennessee has come on real strong,” he said. “Coach Brooks came to see me at school and talk about my official visit. They seem to really like me right now.
“Notre Dame is coming back tomorrow, the linebackers coach, I think. They already sent coach Miles down to my house earlier. Coach Mack and John L. Smith from Michigan State also came to the school.”
Is there a leader?
“Not right now,” Crum said. “I’m feeling pretty good about all four of those schools. I’m going to hold off on making my decision until I see all the offers and make my official visits.”
As a senior, Crum recorded 70 tackles, five sacks and one interception. He returned the pickoff for a touchdown.
