Irish tackle New Jersey safety

According to his father, one of New Jersey’s top sleeper prospects is heading to South Bend, Ind., to play for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
“It’s confirmed,” Leo Ferrine, the father of Leo Ferrine Jr. “It just felt right for him, and he was excited about his choice. I know everybody around here is.”

Ferrine, who is 6-foot and 180 pounds, is a two-star safety prospect from Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep. He was also recruited by Penn State, Rutgers and Virginia. He had offers from all four of the teams.
Ferrine had 47 tackles and four interceptions as a senior.
