Irish provide a pick-me up for LB

Sugar Land (Texas) Austin three-star linebacker Kevin Washington saw his senior season end on Friday night when his team lost 24-20. With a win, Austin would have made the playoffs for the first time in Washington’s career. In the end it didn’t happen, but a good thing did this weekend – his future team pulled an upset victory.
“I needed a pick me up,” Washington, a Notre Dame commitment, said. “That really picked me up. That was a great win for Notre Dame over a great team. They played great football. I enjoyed every minute of it.”

Washington said he’s still a very solid Notre Dame commitment. He said he has received a few calls here and there from other teams, but it honestly doesn’t matter because he’s 100 percent Irish.
“I don’t have my official visit set up quite yet,” Washington said. “It’s either going to be one of the weekends in December or January 15.”
