Irish make move in Texas

When the Notre Dame Fighting Irish come calling, people listen. That’s true across the nation and also in the home of Burnet, Texas, offensive guard Eddie Rollmann.
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Rollman said he’s now leaning toward the Fighting Irish and has scheduled a January 30 official visit to South Bend.,

“They’re a new team to come in the mix,” he said. “I started talking to some people and then sent them some film and they loved it. They don’t want to offer me just yet because they’ve used up all of their offers on linemen. But I know that some of them might not commit to Notre Dame and that should open a spot for me.
“I’m really leaning toward Notre Dame now that they’ve started to recruit me.”
But without a Notre Dame offer on the table, other teams still have a fighting chance.
Rollmann will visit SMU this weekend, followed by visits to Purdue on January 16 and then Kansas on January 23. Notre Dame does get the last official visit, though.
“I’m hoping to see something that impresses me on my visit to SMU this weekend,” he said.
