Irish lead for New Jersey ATH

It was a big weekend for Notre Dame football with the Irish hosting several top prospects and showing them a good time with a convincing win over Michigan.
One of the prospects in attendance was Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep athlete Nyshier Oliver, currently rated the No. 11 prospect in the Garden State and the No. 34 athlete in the nation by
What did he think of his trip and where does he go from here?
"I liked it a lot," Oliver explained. "I really enjoyed it. I got in from a game and I went to their game as soon as I got there. We took off from there and ate dinner with the team.
"I saw the night life a little bit while I was there and hung out with one of the players. Coach Weis basically just said he wants me to be one of his guys and be a part of their family."
Oliver plans on taking an official visit to Wake Forest on September 27 when the Deacons play host to Navy. He's trying to set up an official visit to Tennessee as well but does not have a formal date set yet.
Would he consider those schools to be his favorites?
"Yes, those would be my favorites," he said. "I really like Notre Dame a lot. I'd say they're number one right now.
"I really like the coaching staff at Wake Forest but I haven't been down there yet. At Tennessee I like the coaches, the atmosphere and the football team.
"I'll make my decision when I'm done with those other two visits."
In addition to his three finalists, Oliver holds offers from Boston College, Rutgers, Virginia, Penn State and Maryland.
