Irish eyes are smiling

Notre Dame has received the services of three-star offensive tackle John Kadous (6-7, 310, 5.6) from Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic. Kadous first came into the consciousness of the Fighting Irish staff when he attended their football camp last summer.
Notre Dame offered this talented offensive tackle prospect a scholie around the time of the camp. Now he has decided to attend school and play his college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The Fighting Irish get a player who has great technique on both run and pass blocking. He is very physical, dominates his opponents and uses his hands extremely well.
Kadous is a tireless worker who has worked very hard improving his quickness. He has also improved his bench from 285 to 320, his squat from 420 to 450 and his clean from 250 to 270.
As good as Kadous is, he will only get better. He hasn’t even come close to scratching the surface of his potential.
In an earlier interview with Rivals.com Salpointe Catholic head coach Dennis Bene said, “John is just beginning to come into own. He came onto campus as a 6-foot-6 freshman and now he is filling out his frame. As he fills out he has become quicker and stronger.”
Kadous was selected first-team super all-state by the much respected Barry Sollenberger, all-state and all-region as a junior.
Kadous also has offers from Northwestern and hometown Arizona. He also was receiving solid recruiting action from ASU, Oregon, UCLA and Washington.
