Iowa State pushing for FL DB

When Iowa State came through St. Petersburg, Fla. and offered Lakewood High safety Brujoun Bonner back in the spring, he knew the Cyclones were interested. But as the summer has moved along the coaching staff has picked up it's pursuit.
"I've been talking to [defensive coordinator] Coach [Wally] Burnham and his son [defensive tackles] Coach [Shane] Burnham," Bonner said. "They're cool coaches and I like them because they've coached in Florida before and I think they believe in me."

In addition to the Cyclones, Bonner has several other offers, but said along with Florida Atlantic and Western Kentucky, Iowa State is showing the most interest.
"We're trying to set up an official visit," Bonner said. "They visited me in the spring so now I want to try to get up there."
Because he continues to pick up new interest Bonner said he's likely to wait until later in the spring to set his visit schedule. While he's not sure who else will get a visit, Iowa State is definitely on the list.
"I'm trying to decide if I want to take two or three visits during the season," he said. "I might just wait and take all five after the season but I'm not sure."
