Iowa State hosts three-star TE

After taking his first official visit to Iowa State last weekend, Tim Holt said the Cyclones have certainly set the bar high in his recruitment.
The three-star tight end from Fullerton (Calif.) College has one more official visit scheduled in a couple weeks, but Iowa State would appear to hold an edge in his recruitment heading into the final stretch before signing day.

IN HIS WORDS: "I loved everything about the visit," Holt told Rivals.com. "Just great coaching staff, facilities, gameday atmosphere and a nice campus. Everything seemed great to me.
"Iowa State definitely set the bar pretty high; it was an awesome weekend."
WHAT'S NEXT?: Holt, the No. 60-rated prospect in the junior college preseason rankings, has an official visit set to UNLV for the Dec. 4 weekend and then intends to decide a few days later. He has already been to Las Vegas on an unofficial but wants to get a closer look at what coach Tony Sanchez is building with the Rebels.
"I just want to get a better feeling of what it would be like to play there," Holt said. "I can't wait to meet more people and check out everything again before I decide."
