Iowa State first to offer 2017 Fla. ATH

Class of 2017 St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood athlete Matthew Landers is just geting started on his recruiting process, but he recently added his first Big Five offer and he hopes there will be more to come.
"Iowa State is my first one and I was really excited to get it," the 6-foot-3, 166-pound prospect said. "They came by my school and then called me after and gave me an offer and we've been in touch ever since."

Landers said he has been in regular contact with Cyclones defensive coordinator Wally Burnham and the two are developing a nice bond.
"He's a good coach and he's really cool to deal with," Landers said. "He wants me to come up and see the campus and I'm trying to make sure I get up there this summer."
Landers said the trip to Iowa State will be one of many, but his complete schedule isn't mapped out as of yet. Other programs showing interest include Oregon, Purdue and Florida State.
