Iowa Standout Names His Leader

After showing quite a bit of promise as a sophomore, wide receiver Calvin Davis (6'1 175 4.5) from Iowa City (IA) didn't play football last year. However he is back out on the grid-iron this year. "We're in the second week of two-a-days," Davis said. "It's going good."

Recruiters are familiar enough with Davis that despite not playing as a junior he has one offer on the table and interest from others as well. "Iowa is my number one choice right now," he said. "Arizona State is second. I'm also getting recruited by Nebraska and Illinois. Just Iowa has offered me, but the other schools said they want to see me play my first couple of games because I didn't play last year. I think I'll wait and see what happens."
