Iowa showing interest in another Hunter

Iowa pulled out Jeremiha Hunter in the 2006 recruiting class and the Hawkeyes are looking once again to possibly land another Hunter, Xzavier Hunter, his younger brother out of Harrisburg, Pa. in the final week of recruiting. The 6-foot-0, 210-pounder doesn't have an offer from Iowa, but they are showing interest.
"I'm just waiting to see how everything goes," he said. "I've been talking to Iowa and they are reviewing my tape. I'm waiting for an offer. It seems like it's going to happen. They keep talking to my dad and I'm on their recruiting board.

"If it doesn't I'll probably go to prep school for my own personal gain in hopes of getting into Iowa next year. I've already sent the paperwork to Cincinnati's Harmony prep school if I do end up going that route."
Hunter obviously wants to play with his older brother again, but is there anything else about the Hawkeyes that stands out?
"That's where I really want to go," he said. "I went up there over the summer with my brother and I really enjoyed it. I got a Penn State feel about it. I like the football community and the staff. They've got a good linebacker coach and defensive coordinator.
"I also like the chance of playing with my brother again. We had a good thing going on here when we played together in high school. It's exciting for me to play with him again if I could. Ever since we were little we played together and it's hard to think I wouldn't."
Plenty of other schools have shown an interest in the two-star prospect.
"I got an offer from Connecticut. I also received interest from West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and others."
Hunter earned first team all-conference and all-state honors after registering 85 tackles, six sacks and three forced fumbles as a senior.
